Remember that big announcement I teased about on social media for awhile now? Well here’s a piece of it….
I’m starting over.
What does that mean? It means doing entrepreneurship the way I should have done it five years ago. Building something face forward and all chips in. And I couldn’t advocate for anyone to do this for themselves if I wasn’t willing to do it for myself. So of course, I’m nervous and terrified! Last time I checked, our bank account still depends on my income, and my family deserves a present mimi and wife. But I also know I can do this as much as I know you can do this too.
We had a behind-the-scenes access pass to some of the world’s most successful personal brands. And this pass didn’t just give us access today. No. This pass gave us access to individual decisions, opportunities, disappointments, and transformational choices that took those people from commonality to extraordinary. Can you imagine watching Tony Robbins become TONY ROBBINS? What about…Oprah. Ellen. Mel Robbins. Rachel Hollis. Brendon Burchard. Jenna Kutcher. Amy Porterfield. Richard Branson. James Clear. Gary Vaynerchuk. Joanna + Chip Gaines. Marie Forleo. Brene Brown. And so many others.
What would you do with that knowledge?!
How would you apply it in your own life??
Sometimes we make the fatal mistake of comparing our starting point to the peaks of those we admire. But what if someone gave you backstage access to their efforts of building something they could build their life around?
As most of you know, I’ve become captivated, I might even say obsessed, by the world of personal branding. As an entrepreneur and founder of a digital marketing agency, I’ve personally helped develop and grow some of my clients’ personal brands. And like you, they have some of the same aspirations:
- Become a top leader and expert in their field
- An authority and influencer
- A sought-out speaker
- A respected author
- A source of movement and change
- An inspiration to others
BUT what I’ve learned over my ten years of working in the marketing and branding space and with clients all over the world, is that those goals are just the top of the iceberg. What they and we ALL want is:
- Freedom to do our own thing based on our beliefs
- Freedom to not have to work for someone else if we don’t want to
- Freedom in our finances
- Freedom to choose what we do with our time and who we center it around
- Freedom to share our message to whoever, wherever, whenever
- Freedom to take care of our families and loved ones
Am I right?!
And I believe that to have those things you need to center your business, your entrepreneurial pursuits, and your reputation on your own person. Your personal brand.
Think about it.
What can you build that is recession proof, immune to imposters, will give you meaningful fulfillment, that you won’t get tired of 5 years from now, evolves when you do, and will help you help other people??
A personal brand business.
And I’m going to show you how because I’m going to do it. I feel a calling to do this. I feel like the knowledge and experience I’ve gained is supposed to help the you who wants more but doesn’t know how. The you who gets bursts of inspiration but falls short in execution. And each week I’m going to let you in on everything I’m doing, learning, tripping on, succeeding at, etc. I don’t have all the answers, but I know my vision, and I’m going to choose to…
Work from my vision, not towards my vision
There is seriously so much more to come and share, but I’ll end this week’s letter here. Please remember:
“Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, the opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more.” – Tony Robbins
Until next Sunday,
Ps. If there’s someone in your life who could use this in theirs, please forward my letter so they can subscribe. You never know whose life you could change.
